Delores Sanan is a Director of Business Human Resources with Abbott Laboratories Diagnostics and Starlims Division. In this role she provides strategic Business Human Resources support to multiple functions. She is an active member of the division’s Diversity and Inclusion Council. As a member of the council, she plays a key role in the development of diversity strategies and cultural awareness. Delores is an active member the Black Leadership Council (BLC) and Women Leaders in Action and “Partners Across the Ocean”, a community outreach partnership with Schools in South Africa. Previously she served on the Board of Directors for Countryside Association, an organization that provides employment assistance to people with disabilities.
A dedicated and passionate advocate of diversity, Ms. Patterson has traveled extensively both domestically and internationally to facilitate workshops and assist in the implementation of global diversity initiatives. She successfully led the launch of an international chapter of Women’s Leaders in Action (WLA) for The Latin America affiliates and implemented the European Diversity Council. She has presented at multiple Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Conferences and is currently listed in the SHRM speaker guide. Ms. Patterson is frequently engaged as a motivational speaker and workshop leader, focusing on a variety of issues including diversity, cultural appreciation, and development for women. On multiple occasions, Delores was invited by the American Strategic Management Institute to present at conferences both in the United States and Outside the U.S.
As a committed member of the First Corinthian M.B. Church, she leads the monthly fasting and prayer ministry, as well as coordinates the church’s annual Food Basket Drive, and Senior Citizen Recognition Banquet. She has conducted many workshops at the church including, “Living a Successful Single Life”, “Encouragement”, “Lord Teach Me to Pray”, “Spiritual Warfare," and "Praying with Purpose.” A long tenure member, she has served in many roles including, Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Church Clerk, and Finance Clerk.
Delores enjoy writing currently has a monthly column in the People’s voice. In 2011 she was awarded the Most Influential African American Achievement Vision Award and in 2012 she was selected as the Mother of the Year by First Corinthian M.B. Church. She is the mother of five children, and grandmother of one.
