Act Before Deciding by Maria
1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye areable; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may beable to bear [it].
People don't understand that the choice is always yours until the choice isn't there and they're forced to suck it up and deal. They sit and whine about how things are beyond their control when they didn't even try to change it in the first place. It's time to admit a common fact: As a human species we would rather blame others for our problems then ourselves. We would rather blame the stress then us picking up the bottle. We would rather blame seduction then us subduing into temptation. We would rather blame the New-Girl than the supposedly committed Boyfriend. Before blaming someone else, first we have to evaluate ourselves:
Was the situation really beyond our control?
Did we play a major role in the outcome?
Did we think before reacting?
But no; people don't do that anymore. We don't do it because we're in an "Act Now Think Later" society that's running all of us straight into early graves and broken hearts. What happened to thinking before acting? Evaluating before deciding? So many people act on emotions now-and-days that it's amazing this many people are even alive! I mean, I have those moments too, don't get me wrong, we are all human and make mistakes. It's the one of the things we're guaranteed to do on Earth: make mistakes, but at the end of the day you have to accept the consequences and admit you're wrong.
Pastor, and the Bible, says to give all problems to God and leave it at the cross. When you do this, he handles all of your issues. So you wait, and you wait, for some type of miracle to come along. For something to rain down from the sky and enlighten you with the knowledge to get through whatever crisis you are currently undergoing. The question soon becomes: Will you accept help when it comes? It is impossible to help someone who does not accept they need help. You cannot help someone who thinks they do no wrong. No one can help you if you ignore them. That's how God feels. He can give you signs, and he can attempt to help, but if you continuously ignore him, and give up, he can't help. In life, we all make mistakes, and we do things that aren't so bright, but we cannot blame anyone but ourselves after a certain extent. Before blaming someone else, all you have to do is think before you act.
